Three interesting hacks.

Found at Slashdot today, Techworld article containing three interesting tech hacks for your viewing pleasure.  We have the flying camera launched by a flare gun, the semi-autonomous flying WiFi and phone sniffer, and most interesting, the cellphone cloud software. No towers needed, straight phone-to-phone file sharing.

Enjoy!

off-topic, but hack related.

Stanford University is offering its comp-sci course in AI on-line.

Non-Stanford students can enroll, but won't get academic credit, just some kind of recognition letter.

WiFi, thanks! That is extremely cool. I signed up for it last night, can't wait. :)

Gonna build me a robot sentry with a spud gun on it. I'll have to study hard so's it doesn't shoot me in the ass by mistake.

Hmmm. The WiFi lunchbox could be hosted on a cell phone using an embedded web server like mongoose and a micro SD card for storage.

If someone could figure out how to injection-install this stuff, life could get...interesting.

How many dozen users could you support with a cheap laptop and a Pringles can?

Did I mention they had a model airplane pretending to be a cell tower? Call every phone in reach, tell them to download App123Cloud.exe from the convenient server if they want FREE cell coverage during the emergency, SHAZAM, instant cell cloud even if the airplane stops working.

Oh, did you ever get contacted by the Stanford people? I haven't.
